Learning bird songs can be daunting, but with the expert help of Dr. Sarah Gutowsky, you may be whistling a new tune! This workshop is well-suited for anyone interested in bird song, from novice birders and keen young naturalists to experts looking to tune their ear. You will hone your audio-recall skills by learning listening basics, song recognition for common bird families, and how to build a song repertoire for Nova Scotia. You will have fun learning in the pristine and varied habitats at the doorstep of the Harrison Lewis Centre!

Full price $325. $100 deposit required to register.

ABOUT SARAH

Dr. Sarah Gutowsky is a passionate ornithologist, teacher, and expedition guide. Sarah's studies of birds have taken her all over the planet. She teaches many courses at Dalhousie University, but her favourites are the field courses that bring her and her students to the Harrison Lewis Center.
