Wild Weekend Workshop: Butterflies & Bees-How to Pollinate Your Backyard w/ MTRI

About the Workshop:
Welcome to the world of pollinators! Learn about butterfly & bee habitat and how to grow it in your own backyard! This workshop will include building a pollinator house and creating seed bombs! This is a family friendly workshop--all are welcome.

About the Facilitator:
Celeste Kieranis a summer research intern, working mostly on the
Butterfly Project at Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute. It's a project aimed towards expanding pollinator habitat across Nova Scotia, with the monarch as the focal species. Funding for this project was generously provided by Environment Canada, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, Monarch Nation, and the Lunenburg & Area Garden Club.

About Wild Weekends:
Wild Weekends involve a series of educational guided nature hikes and skill-building workshops from July to mid-September and are designed to be accessible to people of all ages. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch and enjoy the Centre and grounds! Coffee from Laughing Whale Coffee Roasters is provided at every event located at the Harrison Lewis Centre.
