Dalhousie SEASIDE

During this time period, we have students from the Dalhousie SEASIDE summer program taking their learning outside!

Offered through the Biology Department, SEASIDE courses provide undergraduates with hands-on training in species identification, sampling, and other practical skills, while studying certain ecosystems or focusing on the biology of algae, plants, insects, sharks, birds, or marine mammals.

The Harrison Lewis Centre will be hosting various SEASIDE classes this summer, including ornithology, medical entomology, spatial information & GIS in ecology, and field aquaculture. The Centre provides cabins and camping space, an indoor learning and socializing area, lab space, home-cooked food, and of course the very ecosystems & natural history the students are studying.
