Join the Ocean School team on Facebook Live October 4, 2018, at 10:50 a.m. (ADT)
On October 4th, the National Film Board of Canada, Dalhousie University, the Ocean Frontier Institute and Ingenium are officially launching Ocean School (OS), a free, bilingual, web based learning experience to advance ocean literacy. Through a variety of cutting edge educational technologies and multi-media, OS takes students beyond the classroom and into the field where they join ocean experts from community, academia, government, industry, and Indigenous communities as they work to answer some of our most pressing questions about the ocean.
Join us for a Facebook Live event on October 4, 2018, at 10:50 a.m. (ADT) where local students, OS Scientific Director Dr. Boris Worm, and other OS staff will launch the program and showcase its features and capabilities. The session will be broadcast in French and in English through the @NationalFilmBoard.Education Facebook channel and will be available to watch after the live broadcast as well. For more information about Ocean School, please follow us at @OceanSchoolNow and @NationalFilmBoard.Education, or visit www.oceanschool.ca.
