Where the Seas Meet the Trees: Coastal Forest Ecology Walk & Talk at White Point Resort

Join us on a guided nature walk through White Point Resort's coastal forest ecosystem on Saturday, June 23 at 3:30 pm. Our board member Soren Bondrup-Nielsen and staff Jessica Bradford will be there to guide people along the trails and coastline, exploring:

  • the various conditions affecting coastal forests such as fog, wind and salt spray;
  • different plants in the coastal zone;
  • the animals that can be encountered (e.g. porcupines, bobcat, white-tailed deer, red squirrels, mink, weasel, deer mice, birds);
  • and the role of insects and fungi in creating the conditions that maintain this important ecosystem.
